Our healthcare team

Our healthcare team includes GP's  as well as practice nurses, health care assistants, health coaches, nurse practitioners, paramedics and an in-house pharmacist.  They are supported by our practice manager, and administrative and reception staff. 

General Practitioners

Our GPs deal with medical problems where you may feel acutely ill, or for follow up for an ongoing medical problem.  As a training practice we often have GP registrars and medical students working at the practice.

Trainee General Practitioner

ST2 and ST3 trainees will experience a mixture of placements, both hospital and community/GP-based. Hendford Lodge supports GP's through their training programme thus enabling experience to be gained within a busy General practice setting. 


Pharmacist

Our Clinical Pharmacist is able to support patients with long-term health conditions and provide advice on medication. He has a specialist interest in Hypertension and Diabetes management.


Acute Care Team

Our Acute Care Team (ACT) are able to support patients with acute issues and generally see patients with new illness or injury, as well as flares of pre-existing chronic health conditions.

At Diamond Health Group we have a nursing team which consists of nurse practitioners, practice nurses, health care assistants and phlebotomists.

Our  nurse practitioners are highly qualified members of the team who have developed their nursing skills through experience and further qualifications to be independent clinicians who are able to see and treat most minor illnesses and aliments. They are also qualified prescribers so as well as being able to give you advice they can also issue suitable medication for your treatment.

Our practice nurses deal with a wide range of conditions and health concerns  including  chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, COPD), dressings , routine care and immunisations.

Our health care assistants carry out blood tests and other routine health checks for our patients.

Our phlebotomists collect blood from patients and prepare the samples for testing.

The Health Coach team work on developing and attaining health promoting goals with Patients, with the intent of reducing health risks, improving the self-management of chronic conditions and increasing health-related quality of life. 

Some of the areas they can support you with are weight loss, support and information for Carers and  care planning.

The PCC Team consists of Reception Staff & Prescription Team who are also tasked with completing of any administrative & clerical duties. This Team also supports staff through their Business Administration Apprenticeships.
