Friends and family test
How does it work?
When you visit either of our GP surgeries for care or treatment, you will be given the opportunity to give your feedback by answering 2 simple questions about your experience:
- “How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they need similar care or treatment?”
You will be asked to choose one of six options, ranging from 'extremely likely' to 'extremely unlikely'. You will also be invited to tell us: "What is the main reason for your answer to the question?", though this part of your response is optional.
- "Overall, how was your experience of our service?"
You will be asked to choose one of six options, ranging from 'very good' to 'very poor'.
Your response is anonymous and you will be able to post the postcard in a ballot box in reception on your way out of the surgery or you can complete the test and give your feedback further down this page.
If you are unable to answer the question, a friend or family member is welcome to respond on your behalf.
The 'friends and family test' results will be published regularly on this website.
How are the results used?
The information gives us invaluable feedback on what you think of the care and treatment you have received, which along with existing ways of gathering feedback, will help the practice to make improvements for patients.
More information on the friends and family test is available on the NHS website and our results are available to view.
